Description
Fadini K740.3L COMBI 740 Underground Hydraulic Gate Kit | 175° Rotation
Overview
When premier estate aesthetics meet heavy physical load demands, surface-mounted gate rams simply fall short. The Fadini COMBI 740 K740.3L system delivers an entirely invisible automation solution, keeping all mechanical elements completely subterranean. By blending premium, self-lubricating hydraulic technology with heavy-gauge metallurgy, Fadini has built an automation kit that functions seamlessly beneath dirt, ice, and standing water.
The standout feature of the K740.3L configuration is its precision-engineered 175-degree rotational capability. Standard underground kits stop short at 110°, which can severely restrict vehicles on sharp turning circles or clip deep architectural brick pillars. The K740.3L sweeps wide-open and folds almost entirely back against flanking boundary walls. Backed by the field-proven Elpro 27 Control Unit, installers can effortlessly tune opening speeds, pause times, and safety margins to match any unique property perimeter.
Key Features
-
Zero-Footprint Architectural Purity: Keeps the original appearance of ornamental wrought iron or bespoke timber gates completely uncluttered by external arms.
-
Integrated Anti-Crush Safety: Dual precision by-pass pressure valves allow installers to fine-tune thrust limits mechanically, ensuring instant safety stoppage if an obstacle is encountered.
-
Corrosion-Resistant Foundation Housing: Housed inside a 3mm thick, electrolytically galvanized steel foundation box built to resist constant ground moisture and soil acidity.
-
Ergonomic Manual Override: Includes robust left- and right-handed pressed steel emergency release brackets with ergonomic spanners to easily disconnect the hydraulic drive for smooth manual operation during power failures.
Complete Kit Components
-
2x Fadini COMBI 740 Oil-Hydraulic Operators: (1x Left-Handed, 1x Right-Handed, 175° Rotation, Double Locking).
-
2x Zinc-Coated Heavy-Gauge Steel Enclosures: Protective foundational underground boxes with drive lids.
-
1x Elpro 27 Advanced Control Unit: Multi-functional, micro-processor logic command board.
-

Trade Installation & Drainage Tip
Pro Tip: Being fully submersible under an IP67 rating means the motor seals can resist standing water temporarily—however, no underground gate box should ever double as a permanent bucket. Over 90% of premature underground seal failures are caused by stagnant water or chemical freeze-thaw cycles trapped in the box.
The Professional Method: When excavating for the foundation enclosures, always dig an extra 200mm–300mm deeper than required. Pack this base pit tightly with clean gravel or hardcore stone to form a natural soakaway. Most importantly, tap a dedicated 40mm flexible waste pipe directly into the integrated drainage port at the bottom-rear of the galvanized foundation box, channeling it directly into an active storm drain or lower-lying garden soakaway. Keeping the internal box dry guarantees that your Fadini hydraulics will easily outlast a decade of intense seasonal weathering!
