Overview
When automating wide, solid-boarded timber or heavy ornamental wrought iron gates, standard electromechanical systems can struggle against wind-loading forces. The Fadini HINDI 880 EVO K880.1L system solves this using high-pressure hydraulic fluid to move a 20mm hardened steel piston rod. Because the internal pump continuously circulates specialized low-viscosity oil, the ram delivers massive linear thrust without the mechanical wear, noise, or gear-chatter associated with typical screw-driven systems.
The Hindi 880 Evo is uniquely adaptive. Its integrated EVO Valve Technology allows installers to customize the physical locking profile directly on the ram body. It can be set up to lock rigidly in the closed position (B Mode), lock in both open and closed positions (BB Mode), or remain completely reversible (N Mode) for manual operation alongside an electric lock. Controlled by the reliable Elpro 27 Logic Board, the kit provides smooth, uniform speed throughout its opening cycle.

Trade Installation & Pressure Adjustment Tip
Pro Tip: Unlike electromechanical rams that use digital control boards to limit pushing power, the Hindi 880 Evo manages force through mechanical by-pass valves located directly under the removable top valve cover.
The Professional Method: During commissioning on the Elpro 27 control board, you should adjust the red (closing force) and green (opening force) hydraulic by-pass screws on the ram body using a flat screwdriver. Turn them until you find the perfect balance where the gate easily moves through normal wind resistence, but can still be safely stopped by hand if it encounters a person or vehicle. For gates wider than 2.0 meters, even if using the hydraulic locking version, always install an electric gate lock to shield the internal hydraulic valves from structural leverage spikes caused by heavy wind gusts or forced entry attempts.
