Description
Fadini K650.1L Junior 650 230V Sliding Gate Kit | up to 1200kg
Overview
Automating heavy gates up to 1,200 kg requires a motor that can handle high starting inertia without straining the internal gear teeth. The Fadini JUNIOR 650 (K650.1L) kit meets this requirement by matching a bronze crown gear with a hardened steel worm screw on dual radial ball bearings. This pairing avoids the rapid wear common to dry-gear operators under heavy loads. Additionally, an oil-resistant elastic dampening coupling absorbs start-stop shocks, protecting the motor shaft from sudden stress.
System programming is handled by the integrated Elpro 65 control unit. With a single button press, the board runs a discovery cycle to map track length, calibrate soft-start acceleration, and set adjustable electronic braking deceleration zones at both ends of travel. This control loop keeps large, heavy gates from hitting physical end stops at full speed, reducing structural wear across the entire perimeter frame.
Key Features
-
All-Weather Magnetic Travel Limits: Uses robust, non-contact magnetic sensors instead of mechanical springs to track limits, preventing components from freezing, sticking, or failing in harsh winter weather.
-
Multi-User Safety Check (D.S.A. / D.A.C.S.): The Elpro 65 board features integrated diagnostic autotesting loops that check connected safety edges and photocells before every cycle, preventing operation if a safety device is compromised.
-
Secure Coded Release Handle: Features a heavy-duty, key-locked aluminum manual release lever. Opening the lever trips an internal safety microswitch that cuts power to the control logic for user safety during manual operation.
-
Bi-Parting Dual Gate Sync: Includes built-in Master/Slave synchronization logic inside the firmware, allowing a single pair of shielded cables to coordinate two opposing sliding gates across a broad driveway opening.

Trade Installation & Rack Clearance Tuning Tip
Pro Tip: When mounting gear racking to a heavy 1,200 kg gate, the weight of the gate must never rest directly on the motor’s drive pinion gear. If the rack presses down on the pinion, it will crush the upper shaft bearings and cause fluid leaks in the oil reservoir.
The Professional Method: Always maintain a precise 1.5mm to 2.0mm vertical clearance gap between the teeth of the drive rack and the teeth of the motor pinion gear along the entire length of the gate’s travel. When installing steel gear rack (such as Fadini M4 steel or heavy-duty reinforced nylon), secure the motor baseplate first, place the rack on the pinion with a 2mm spacer card sandwiched between the teeth, weld or bolt the rack segment to the gate frame, and then remove the spacer. This ensures clean engagement without putting vertical load on the transmission shaft.
